New PS5 games 2023: most anticipated PS5 release dates

When it comes to new PS5 games, 2023 is going to be an amazing year. With massive third-party titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and a few blockbuster exclusives from Sony, there will be plenty to whittle away the hours.

There are even some smaller releases on the way to make the list of upcoming games for PlayStation 5. For instance, indie developer Haven Studios made its first console appearance with a co-op shooter called Fairgames. In this game you will team up with friends to fight corporate overloads that are squeezing the life out of society. The game’s been a bit of a rollercoaster and isn’t out until 2024, but it certainly looks promising.

Another game that is gaining some traction thanks to its E3 trailer is Sandland, a VR title from Akira Toriyama creator of Dragon Ball and Dragon Quest. This RPG has players exploring a sprawling desert brought to life with Unreal Engine 5 where demons and humans must live together in the face of chaos. The game has some very intriguing gameplay elements and a colorful, unique look that’s sure to draw in fans of the genre.

For those looking for a more action-packed experience, Capcom is offering up a new entry in the Resident Evil franchise. Resident Evil: Village takes a twist on the survival-horror series by giving it a gothic fairy tale feel. It’s still full of undead creatures and the typical mix of puzzles and action, but it adds a lot more personality to the story while still maintaining its Umbrella Corporation DNA. This isn’t a release date just yet, but it should be out before the end of the year.

Finally, those who want to relive the magic of Final Fantasy 7 Remake should be happy to know that the sequel is coming to the PlayStation 5. Rebirth will take you seven years prior to Crisis Core in this story about Cloud Strife and his mercenaries, while also featuring characters from the main story. While we don’t have a release date for the game, it’s sure to be one of the most anticipated PS5 games of 2023.

In addition to these upcoming releases, there are some big releases hitting the shelves later this year and into 2021. The Crew 2 from EA Sports and PGA Tour 2022 from ELEAGUE are both due to hit the PlayStation in September. Both games promise to be some of the most exciting open world racing titles of the generation, with a wide variety of cars and track types.

There are also some more surprises on the way such as Rise of the Ronin from Team Ninja. This samurai/ninja action title is set to be an exclusive for the PS5 and features some stunning visuals. It’ll be interesting to see how this one stacks up against the likes of Assassin’s Creed Origins and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
