On a “Light”-er Note

Over the last two weeks the district has enacted that light fixtures in our school’s cafeterias, near the office, and outside of the school be changed from HID bulbs to LED. The lights will only be replaced in the stated areas while the rest of the school and hallways will remain HID.

LED lights consumes 70% less electricity, which will save the district
money on energy costs. The maintenance staff used a crane lift, stationed in the North Building lobby, to get to the hard to reach areas of the school. The new high school, Bentonville West, had LED lights installed all throughout the building during its construction.resizeddsc_0062
