In honor of homecoming against Rogers this Saturday, Bentonville High School students and teachers dressed up for different themed outfits everyday.

Monday was Maui day. People wore hula skirts and flower shirts while beach music echoed throughout the school.

Tuesday was Time Traveling Tuesday. Most people  dressed up in 90’s and 70’s fashion,  but there was a few  Jesus’  and togas mixed in.

Wednesday was Holiday Day. Outfits for Fourth of July to people covered in Christmas lights were all across the classrooms and hallways. Teachers participated in spirit week too. History teacher Mr. Aaron Williams went to the extreme and painted his body green and wore a Santa costume to resemble the Grinch.

Thursday was Character Day. People got the most creative this day with popular Disney character disguises, and simple icons such as Waldo. The Office cast was strolling down the hallways, along with minions and anime characters.

Friday was Mock the Mounties Day or Jersey Day. There was a bit of controversy over what the theme actually was, but students rocked in both themes. The typical Mountie attire was overalls and plaid  styled with some bandanas and cowboy boots.

As student’s favorite week of the year came to a close, their excitement for the Bentonville vs Mounties game built up throughout all the spirit days. Of course all of the fun had to come to an end, but students always have a blast during this fun time of the year.

“I love spirit week.” Senior Austin Sharpe said.
